Karuna from Rajasthan is created by the women of Shruti Foundation in Rajasthan and is an INTACH initiative. This beautiful folk doll, Maru, dressed in the traditional clothes of the Shekhawati region has been crafted using waste cloth and rags demonstrating the beauty inherent in upcycling. Maru is married to Dhola and according to the local legend, they had to fight enemies in order to be together. Using her bow and arrow, the indefatigable Maru fought her enemies until the last one was defeated.
